Stem Cell Fat Grafting

Stem cell fat grafting, also known as autologous fat transfer or lipofilling, is a surgical procedure aimed at enhancing or reconstructing target tissues by utilizing the patient's own fat cells, which are harvested from a donor site on their body. The first step in this procedure involves liposuction to extract fat from areas such as the abdomen, thighs, or flanks. During liposuction, a narrow tube called a cannula is inserted through small incisions in the skin to gently suction out fat cells. These harvested fat cells typically undergo a purification process, which may include centrifugation to separate the components and isolate the viable fat cells and stem cells.

Once the fat cells and stem cells are adequately prepared, the purified fat is then carefully injected into the target area. This area can include the face, breasts, buttocks, or any other region requiring volume restoration or contour enhancement. The injection process is performed meticulously using a series of small syringes to ensure an even and natural-looking distribution. The stem cell component assists in tissue regeneration and healing, potentially improving the longevity and quality of the graft. Post-procedure, patients are generally advised to follow specific care instructions to ensure optimal healing and graft integration, which may include wearing compression garments, avoiding strenuous activities, and attending follow-up appointments for progress evaluation.
