PRP Facial Treatment

The Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) facial treatment, also known as the 'vampire facial,' involves a multi-step procedure that harnesses the healing and regenerative properties of the patient’s own blood. First, blood is drawn from the patient's arm, similar to a routine blood test. The collected blood is then placed into a centrifuge, a machine that spins the blood at high speeds to separate its components, particularly the platelet-rich plasma from the red blood cells and other elements. The resulting plasma, which is rich in growth factors and proteins, is then extracted for use in the treatment.

Following the preparation of the PRP, the patient’s face is cleansed thoroughly to remove any impurities. A topical anesthetic cream is applied to minimize discomfort during the procedure. Once the anesthetic has taken effect, the PRP is either injected into the skin using a fine needle or applied topically and then driven into the deeper layers of the skin using microneedling. The microneedling device creates tiny micro-injuries on the skin's surface, promoting the absorption and activating the skin's natural healing process. Post-treatment, patients may expect mild redness and swelling, which typically subsides within a few days. Over the following weeks, the skin often appears rejuvenated, smoother, and more radiant as the growth factors stimulate collagen production and tissue regeneration.
