V Beam laser

The V Beam laser procedure is a non-invasive treatment commonly used in dermatology to improve skin appearance by addressing various vascular skin conditions such as rosacea, facial veins, spider veins, port wine stains, and redness. The process begins with a thorough consultation where the dermatologist assesses the patient's skin condition and determines the suitability of the V Beam laser. On the day of the procedure, the patient's skin is cleansed, and a topical anesthetic may be applied to minimize discomfort. Protective eyewear is provided to shield the eyes from the laser light. The dermatologist then uses the V Beam laser handpiece, which emits a concentrated beam of light that targets and gently heats the blood vessels or pigmented areas without damaging the surrounding skin tissues. This heat causes the blood vessels to coagulate and eventually be reabsorbed by the body, reducing redness and pigmentation.

During the treatment session, patients may feel a mild snapping sensation akin to a rubber band against the skin, which is typically well-tolerated thanks to the device’s Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) that sprays a cooling mist onto the skin immediately before each laser pulse, enhancing comfort and protecting the skin’s surface. The duration of the treatment can vary based on the size and number of areas being treated but generally ranges from 15 to 30 minutes. After the procedure, patients might experience temporary redness, swelling, or slight bruising, which usually resolves within a few days. The dermatologist will provide post-care instructions, typically advising patients to avoid direct sun exposure and to use sunscreen to protect the treated areas. Results can be noticed gradually over several weeks, and multiple sessions may be required to achieve optimal outcomes.
