Subbrow Lift

A subbrow lift, alternately known as a subbrow blepharoplasty, is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to elevate the position of the eyebrows and smooth the area beneath them, thereby rejuvenating the upper eyelid region and enhancing overall facial aesthetics. The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the individual patient’s needs and preferences. The surgeon begins by making an incision just below the eyebrows, following their natural contour to minimize visible scarring. Through this incision, excess skin and sometimes underlying muscle and fat are carefully removed or recontoured to achieve the desired lifting effect.

Once the excess tissue has been addressed, the skin is meticulously re-draped, and the incisions are closed with fine sutures. The precision required in this procedure helps ensure that the resulting scars are well-hidden within the natural crease below the eyebrow. After the surgery, patients may experience some swelling, bruising, and discomfort, which generally subside within one to two weeks. Postoperative care typically involves keeping the head elevated, applying cold compresses to minimize swelling, and following the surgeon’s guidelines on activity restrictions. The subbrow lift can yield immediate and long-lasting results, providing a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
