Stem Cell Breast Augmentation
Stem Cell Breast Augmentation
Stem cell breast augmentation is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that utilizes a patient’s own adipose (fat) tissue enriched with stem cells to enhance breast size and contour. The process begins with liposuction, where fat is harvested from areas of the body such as the abdomen, thighs, or flanks using a thin tube called a cannula. This extracted fat is then processed to separate and concentrate the stem cells through a method known as cell isolation. A portion of the purified fat is blended with the enriched stem cell concentrate to create a graft material. The prepared stem cell-enriched fat is then meticulously injected into the breast tissue through small, strategically placed incisions.
The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the patient’s comfort and the surgeon’s recommendation. One of the major advantages of this technique is that it provides a more natural look and feel compared to traditional silicone or saline implants, as it uses the patient's own tissues. Additionally, the adipose-derived stem cells are believed to promote better integration of the graft, enhancing the longevity and quality of the augmentation. Recovery time is fairly quick, generally involving minimal downtime, with most patients resuming normal activities within a week. Results can usually be observed immediately and will continue to improve as the grafted fat settles and integrates over the following months.
