Description
Ptosis correction, or blepharoptosis surgery, is a surgical procedure designed to elevate the upper eyelid to its normal position, thereby improving vision and appearance. The procedure typically begins with a thorough preoperative assessment, including evaluating the degree of ptosis and the function of the levator palpebrae superioris muscle. Under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, the surgeon makes an incision either in the natural crease of the eyelid (external approach) or on the inner surface of the eyelid (internal approach, or conjunctival approach).
