Nasolabial Angle Adjustment

Nasolabial Angle Adjustment is a cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the appearance of the face by modifying the angle between the upper lip and the base of the nose. To achieve a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing profile, a precise technique involving both surgical and non-surgical methods may be employed. The procedure typically begins with a thorough consultation to assess the patient's facial anatomy and determine the desired outcome. Once a personalized plan is established, local anesthesia is administered to ensure comfort during the procedure.

For surgical adjustments, a small incision may be made either inside the nostrils or at the base of the columella (the tissue that separates the nostrils) to enable access to the underlying bone and cartilage. The surgeon then carefully reshapes the nasal structures, often using grafts or sutures to alter the projection and rotation of the nose tip, thus adjusting the nasolabial angle. Non-surgical options, such as dermal fillers, may also be used to subtly enhance the angle by adding volume to the nasal base or upper lip. After the adjustments are made, the incisions are meticulously closed, and the patient is given post-operative care instructions to promote optimal healing and results. Recovery time varies but usually involves swelling and minimal discomfort that subsides within a few weeks.
