Hairline Microblading
Description
Hairline Microblading is a semi-permanent technique used to recreate, correct, or fully reconstruct a person’s hairline. The procedure mimics natural hair by depositing pigment in the upper layer of skin to fill in hairline gaps or to create an entirely new hairline. It employs the same basic technique used in eyebrow microblading, where hair strokes are created manually with a tool, containing tiny needles, to deposit pigment into the skin. The procedure may take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours depending on the amount of work needed, giving enough time for an expert to carefully mark out the patients hairline where the strokes will be made. The actual hairline microblading process involves a few steps. Initially, a numbing cream is applied to the client’s scalp to minimize discomfort. Then, the microblading specialist will sketch an outline of where the desired hairline will sit using a special marker. Using the microblading tool, the specialist will carefully make tiny incisions mimicking natural hair growth, while simultaneously depositing the pigment under the skin. After the procedure, a cooling cream or gel is applied to alleviate any discomfort and aid in healing. In order to achieve optimal results, clients may need to return for a touch-up session 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure.
