Fraxel Laser
Fraxel Laser
Fraxel Laser treatment is a non-invasive skin resurfacing procedure designed to rejuvenate the skin and address various dermatological concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, age spots, and uneven skin tone. The procedure begins with an initial consultation where the dermatologist assesses the patient's skin type, discusses their concerns, and determines if Fraxel Laser treatment is suitable for them. Once approved, the patient's skin is cleansed thoroughly to remove any makeup, oils, or impurities. A topical anesthetic cream is usually applied to the treatment area to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
During the treatment, the dermatologist uses a specialized Fraxel Laser device that emits fractional laser beams, creating microscopic columns of thermal damage in the targeted skin areas. This process also stimulates collagen production and promotes the natural healing process, resulting in the generation of fresh, healthy skin cells. The entire procedure typically takes between 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. Post-treatment, the patient may experience mild redness, swelling, and a sensation similar to a sunburn, which usually subsides within a few days. Proper aftercare instructions, such as avoiding direct sun exposure and applying a prescribed moisturizer and sunscreen, are given to aid in the healing process and ensure optimal results. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve the desired outcomes, with noticeable improvements often observed after a few weeks.
