Eyebrow Transplant

An eyebrow transplant is a surgical procedure designed to restore or augment the eyebrows through the transplantation of hair follicles. The process begins with a consultation where the surgeon assesses the patient's eyebrow shape, density, and the overall aesthetic goals. On the day of the surgery, local anesthesia is typically administered to ensure the patient’s comfort. The surgeon then identifies a suitable donor site, often the back of the scalp, where hair characteristics closely match those of the eyebrow. Hair follicles are meticulously extracted from this area using techniques such as Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) or Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT).

Once the donor hair has been harvested, the surgeon creates small, strategic incisions in the eyebrow region to mimic the natural growth pattern of eyebrow hair. These incisions are made with extreme precision to ensure that the transplanted hair lies flat and follows the natural direction of the existing eyebrow hair. The harvested hair follicles are then carefully implanted into these incisions. The number of grafts typically ranges from 200 to 400 per eyebrow, depending on the desired fullness. Post-procedure, patients may experience mild swelling and redness, which usually subside within a few days. Patients are generally advised to avoid strenuous activities for about a week and follow specific aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing and growth of the transplanted follicles. Within a few months, the transplanted hairs begin to grow naturally, ultimately achieving a fuller, more defined appearance.
