Eyebrow Lift

An eyebrow lift, also known as a brow lift or forehead lift, is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to elevate drooping eyebrows and smooth forehead wrinkles to produce a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. The procedure typically begins with anesthesia to ensure patient comfort. Options include local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the surgeon's recommendation and patient preference. The incision technique may vary based on the specific method chosen: the traditional or classic brow lift, endoscopic brow lift, or temporal brow lift. In a traditional brow lift, the surgeon makes a long incision across the forehead, either at the hairline or within the scalp. In an endoscopic brow lift, smaller incisions are made, and a small camera (endoscope) is used to assist in elevating the brow tissues. The temporal brow lift involves incisions at the temples above the hairline.

Once the incisions are made, the surgeon carefully lifts and repositions the underlying forehead and brow tissues. Excess skin may be removed to achieve a tighter and smoother appearance. The muscles responsible for causing deep lines and wrinkles in the forehead may be adjusted or released. After repositioning, the skin is sutured or stapled back in place, and the incisions are closed meticulously to minimize scarring. Postoperative care instructions typically include guidelines for managing swelling and discomfort, using cold compresses, and avoiding strenuous activities for a specified period. Recovery time can vary, but most patients resume normal activities within one to two weeks, with final results becoming apparent as the swelling subsides and the tissues settle.
