Chest Laser Hair Removal
Description
Chest Laser Hair Removal is a cosmetic procedure designed to remove undesired hair from the chest area using concentrated beams of light. The procedure begins with the dermatologist or physician marking the chest area where the laser will be applied. Next, a cold gel is usually applied in order to protect the skin, followed by the application of the laser itself. The laser works by selectively damaging the root of unwanted hair with heat while leaving the surrounding skin untouched. This is achieved due to the dark pigments in the hair absorbing the light from the laser. The duration of the procedure usually depends on the size of the area being treated, but generally takes between 15 to 30 minutes. Throughout the procedure, the patient may feel a slight pricking sensation, though most machines used by dermatologists have cooling mechanisms to minimize discomfort. Post-procedure, patients are advised to avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen to protect the treated area. Chest Laser Hair Removal generally requires several sessions to achieve desired results, with most people requiring 4 to 6 sessions spaced around four to six weeks apart. Results can also vary from person to person, depending on hair thickness and color.
