Chin Botox
Description
Chin botox is a non-surgical treatment used to soften the appearance of a heavily lined or overactive chin, refine the shape of the face by reducing a wide chin or a dimpled chin, and to improve the contour of the jawline. It involves the use of botulinum toxin injections (commonly known as Botox). Performed by a skilled healthcare professional, Botox is injected into the muscles of the chin using a small needle to relax the muscles. This can improve the aesthetic appearance of the chin by smoothing out lines, softening a prominent mental crease (the horizontal groove between the lower lip and chin), and/or reducing chin width. The process is relatively quick and typically takes around 15-30 minutes to complete. Minimal discomfort (akin to a small pinch) may be experienced when the Botox is injected. After the procedure, patients might witness mild swelling or bruising which usually subsides within a few hours. The results of chin Botox begin to be visible within 3-5 days and are fully visible after about two weeks. The effects of the treatment generally last between 3-6 months, after which subsequent treatments may be required to maintain the desired results.
